ENTER THE MIND OF GREG WIGFALL JR
Greg “Trakkz” Wigfall is an upcoming producer, engineer, photographer, and videographer. He was born to 80’s rapper MBG of RockMaster Scott & the Dynamic Three, who had two platinum songs, “The Roof is on Fire” and “The Request Line”. Trakkz was born and raised in the 90’s, when music was more authentic, unlike a lot of music that we call music now. He grew up listening to rappers like Notorious BIG, Tupac, Jay-Z, and KRS-One. Music then said something; it wasn’t all about the money. As time went on music started to lose its true meaning.
In 2008, Trakkz left Connecticut and headed to Washington, DC for college, where he first attended Howard University. This is when things started to change for him overnight. When he first got to Howard, he wasn’t thinking bout music anymore. His main focus was his schoolwork, and enjoying college life. Music wasn’t even a thought in his mind, but it didn’t take long for him to get back at it.
In 2012, Trakkz’s came back to the DMV area, and enrolled into The Art Institute of Washington. Here he took up audio production, to help fine tune his skills in music. While back in DC, he joined with fellow classmates from Howard, and created the group called S.C.H.E.M.E. Through S.C.H.E.M.E, they went on to through various events, from parties, to cookouts, and also released various music throughout the DMV area. In 2014, Trakkz graduated from the Art Institute, with a bachelors in audio production, and moved to Los Angeles to further his career.
In the words of Greg Trakkz, “I can only be me and that’s what I will continue to do. It’s not about money or fame; at the end of the day I do what I do for the music. There isn’t no turning back, and the only way I can go is up. I see nothing but well from here, and it’s only going to be good for now on.”
